For educators and parents of children and teenagers with cochlear implants.
Good telephone skills are recognised as valuable in many work settings. For many cochlear implant recipients telephone use is a realistic goal, but often the jump to using the phone can be quite daunting. This twilight session will provide practical advice about how to develop independent telephone use in chilfren and teenagers. Advice will also be given about telephone equipment to use in conjunction with cochlear implant technology.

Would you like to feel more confident handling and troubleshooting speech processors? This is a very practical and informal course which offers you the opportunity to ask all those burning questions!
Topics include checking the processor, troubleshooting made-easy, step- by- step guidance with time to practise in small groups, safety guidelines for cochlear implant users, using accessories including radio aids.

Cochlear implant users group (Bradford)

An informal meeting for adult cochlear implant recipients to meet other people who have cochlear implants, over a cup of tea and a biscuit.
Relatives or friends are welcome to attend too.
Adults who are under assessment for a cochlear implant are also invited, so that they can ask current cochlear implant users about their experience.
